Doug Hastings, Chair of Epstein Becker Green, has been named by Best Lawyers as the "Washington, DC Best Lawyers Health Care Lawyer of the Year" for 2010.

Best Lawyers, among the oldest and most respected peer-review publications in the legal profession, compiles its lists of outstanding attorneys by conducting peer-review surveys in which thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers.

The lawyers honored as "Lawyers of the Year" have received particularly high ratings in the Best Lawyers surveys by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their abilities, professionalism, and integrity.

Steven Naifeh, Managing Editor of Best Lawyers, said: "We continue to believe — as we have believed for more than 25 years — that recognition by one's peers is the most meaningful form of praise in the legal profession. We would like to congratulate Douglas A. Hastings on being selected as the 'Washington, DC Best Lawyers Health Care Lawyer of the Year' for 2010."

Mr. Hastings serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Epstein Becker Green and has served as Chair of the Firm's Health Care and Life Sciences Practice. He is a Member of the Firm in the Washington, DC office. Mr. Hastings provides a wide range of health care organizations with strategic and transactional legal guidance in responding to the legal challenges and opportunities of the rapidly changing U.S. health care system.
