Washington, D.C. (October 27, 2023) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) was honored by the Mid-Atlantic Region of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) for the firm’s marketing and business development efforts related to the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

The LMA “Your Honor” Awards recognize firms with creative approaches that drive new business and increased revenue—both directly and indirectly—through client and prospect outreach, events, attorney coaching and mentoring, and market intelligence. EBG’s competition was robust, and the firm’s marketing and business development efforts stood apart from hundreds of firms of all sizes.

Notably, this firmwide effort was led by EBG Members Susan Gross Sholinsky and Amy Dow and spanned across eight different Dobbs sub-working groups.

The Dobbs decision had an immediate and striking impact on many EBG clients in the firm’s core practice areas, which include employers, health care providers, and companies whose products and services are used in the delivery of reproductive health care. EBG and its marketing and business development department proved to be at the perfect intersection of health and employment law to deploy important thought leadership and timely legal updates concerning the new legal environment.

The firm’s work related to the Dobbs decision was also subject to numerous other recognitions: The New York Law Journal awarded the firm its “Innovation” award in large part to the firm’s leadership on the subject, Lawline selected three EBG attorneys—Susan Gross Sholinsky, Cassandra Labbees, and Delia Deschaine—as “Top Women Faculty” for their thought leadership on the platform, and the American Healthcare Law Association (AHLA) included its podcast with EBG attorney Devon Minnick in its 2023 Top 10 special issues series.
