Spelfogel Recommends Employee Handbooks For Law Firms Of All SizesLawyers USA magazine August 24, 2009
Evan J. Spelfogel, a Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment and Employee Benefits practice groups in the New York office, was quoted in Lawyers USA magazine on the advisability for law firms of all sizes to have employee handbooks.
"I advise employers regardless of size that they should have handbooks, and I don't see why law firms are any different," said Spelfogel.
In the article, "Do you need an employee handbook?" Spelfogel said that such handbooks should include a policy on technology and social networking. He suggested stating that all systems belong to the employer and can be monitored at any time, and employees have no expectation of privacy in them.
