China's Economic Daily, a leading Chinese national daily paper, reported on Epstein Becker & Green's two-part legal seminar for Chinese companies doing business in United States and American companies seeking investment opportunities abroad.
The December 12, 2007, edition of the paper reported on the seminar, which was held December 4 at The Harvard Club, in New York.
A panel introduced legal rules on investment in both China and the United States.
Dean Silverberg and Michael Levine, Members of the Firm in the Labor and Employment practice group of EBG's New York office, emphasized that with the rapid development of China's economy and the fast growth of US-China trade, more Chinese companies intend to establish business in the U.S.
The seminar was co-sponsored by Epstein Becker & Green, China General Chamber of Commerce-U.S.A. and Bank of China, to help executives from both China and the United States to better understand each country's laws and practices, to avoid legal risks and to understand their corporate social responsibilities, in order to advance the countries' trade relationship to a new stage.
