Sharon Lippett joins Epstein Becker as a member, the equivalent of a partner, after working at Shearman & Sterling for more than 18 years. Lippett specialized in multiple aspects of employee benefits law, advising clients in the financial services sector and advising clients on compliance under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, according to her LinkedIn profile.

During her career, Lippett has provided counsel to plan sponsors on tax-qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, welfare plans, cafeteria plans and plan asset administration, according to the firm. Additionally, Lippett has advised clients on ERISA and HIPAA-related corporate transactions and plan terminations, securities offerings and credit agreements, the firm said. ...

At Epstein Becker, Lippett’s practice will focus on legal compliance of employee compensation and benefit arrangements, including nonqualified deferred compensation plans and qualified retirement plans, the firm said.
