E. John Steren, the former chairman of Ober Kaler’s antitrust and competitive practice and co-chair of the firm’s litigation practice, has been named a member of Epstein Becker Green in Washington, D.C.

He’ll be working in the firm's health care and life sciences practice and the litigation and business disputes practice. His work involves representing health care companies in antitrust and more general matters. This includes helping physicians, providers and others in government investigations, Hart-Scott-Rodino compliance, breach of contract disputes and fraud allegations. He also defends providers against False Claims Act litigation.

“We are thrilled to welcome an attorney as respected and esteemed as John,” firm chair Mark E. Lutes said in a statement. “John’s extensive background and experience in antitrust, business litigation, and non-competes make our offerings even more robust across health care, life sciences, and litigation.”
