Bradley Merrill Thompson, a Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice, in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, was quoted in Bloomberg BNA’s Health Care Daily Report, in “Industry Supportive of FDA Move on Device Accessories, Wellness Products,” by Alex Ruoff.

Following is an excerpt:

Health-care attorney Bradley Merrill Thompson, with Epstein Becker & Green P.C., Washington, told Bloomberg BNA April 27 that the draft guidance on general wellness devices was “exactly what we've been asking for, for three or four years now.”

“We in the industry have been struggling for a couple of years with the FDA's approach that said these software had to be devoid of any mention of a disease,” Thompson said. “What was helpful was the guidance acknowledged that you can help people do things like lose weight and manage their diabetes.”
