Bradley Merrill Thompson, a Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice, in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, was quoted in POLITCO’s Morning eHealth, in “Theranos – The Mess Gets Bloodier Still.”

Following is an excerpt:

Perhaps most seriously, Theranos doesn’t seem to have a mechanism for reviewing complaints, which jives with some anecdotal reports we’ve heard regarding their poor responsiveness to troubling test results. In general, the media appears to be wroth with the once-darling startup.

We’ve heard some differing opinions on the matter. Bradley Thompson, a lawyer with Epstein Becker & Green, said it’s hard to tell how serious matters are due to the redactions of confidential material in the report. He cautioned that these sorts of reports are more observations than formal enforcement actions — Theranos will get its chance to make it all up. “[T]hese are in general terms the types of mistakes that I would not be surprised to see a rookie organization make,” he said.
