Pierre Bonnefil, a Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment practice in the New York office, was quoted on special considerations faced by many Latino immigrants and their families when selecting a financial planner.
In the article, "Have Immigrant Parents? Plan Their Financial Future," which appeared in the September, 2008, issue of Diversity Inc. magazine, Bonnefil points out several key issues that should be focused on during the process of selecting a finanial planner and of discussing financial options. One important starting point is to get recommendations to locate the financial planner who is best suited for their particular situation. "The first thing is to find someone who is really reputable, who could assist the family with getting the best financial information possible," said Bonnefil.
