Amy B. Messigian, an Associate in the Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice, in the firm’s Los Angeles office, was quoted in El Norte, in “Acusan a Luismi de Mentiroso” (“They Accuse Luis Miguel of Being a Liar”), by Víctor Fuentes.
Following is an excerpt:
Amy Messigian, a lawyer for the former artist’s manager, William Brockhaus, presented a statement to the Los Angeles court Friday stating that Luismi lied at the hearing on 2 May, in which he said he did not know where the vehicle was Model 2013, valued at 96 thousand dollars.
Researchers working for Messigian’s office have captured Luis Miguel, in photos and video, using the car, on Wednesday and Thursday this week to move between Beverly Hills and Mister C hotels, where bars are often seen. …
“You do not have to be a genius to understand that the defendant has known all the time where his car is, a fact that was misleadingly presented to the Court at the hearing on May 2,” Messigian said. …
Epstein Becker & Green, where Messigian works, asked the judge for an order to allow him to take possession of the Rolls Royce, without the intervention of the Federal Marshals Service, which is responsible for executing the confiscation.
