As the nation’s capital, Washington, DC is often synonymous with the federal government. But the Washington, DC area is more than just a "company town." The area is now home to a wide variety of businesses in the service and manufacturing sector, including media and information companies, high-tech start-ups, and a whole host of industries serving the booming federal bureaucracy.

Epstein Becker & Green’s Washington, DC office – one of the two founding offices of the firm – is the second largest of the firm’s 10 offices. Befitting its location in our nation’s capital, the DC office is home to substantial practices in three areas that reflect both private sector activity and legislative and regulatory changes: health care and life sciences, labor and employment, and governments contracts law. And along with New York, the DC office serves as headquarters for the firm’s health care and life sciences practice, with more than half of the firm’s health care and life sciences attorneys in residence. The DC office also handles much of the firm’s national litigation, including civil litigation, government civil litigation and criminal fraud cases, as well as cases brought by qui tam relators

Partners in EBG’s DC office include a former acting Attorney General of the United States, the Past President of American Health Lawyers Association, as well as numerous partners who have served in positions at the U.S. Departments of Justice, Labor and Health and Human Services, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and as staff counsel to congressional committees.
