Health care organizations are likely to face increased government scrutiny as we begin an era of heightened enforcement -- such enforcement could include individual liability for members of the board of directors, officers and senior managers. It is essential that health care entities continually review, adapt and audit their compliance programs and policies to ensure that they adequately address the issues identified by these enforcement efforts. Epstein Becker Green attorneys David E. Matyas and Daniel E. Gospin are highly knowledgeable about corporate compliance and have co-authored the "Healthcare Corporate Compliance" chapter of the Corporate Compliance Practice Guide: The Next Generation of Compliance. Their presentation will address techniques and practical approaches for implementing an effective compliance program and the important role of the board of directors and senior management in providing ethical leadership to assure that adequate systems are in place to facilitate ethical and legal conduct. Epstein Becker Green attorney Mark S. Armstrong will provide comments and introductions before the presentation.

You should attend this program if you are a member of a board of directors, chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief operating officer, administrator, manager, compliance officer, in-house counsel or billing personnel of any health care organization that receives federal or state reimbursements for services, including an academic medical center, ambulance provider, clinical laboratory, DMEPOS supplier, hospital, longer term care facility, managed care organization, MA Plan, Part D Plan, pharmaceutical manufacturer, physician group or skilled nursing facility.

The registration fee is $50 and includes valet parking. A portion of the registration fee will be donated by Epstein Becker Green to The Sunshine Kids Foundation.

Three or more individuals from the same health care organization can attend the program at no additional cost.
