Clifford Barnes and Robert Hudock, Members of the Firm, will speak at the Compliance Officer Meeting of the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP), which runs from April 24 to 25. Following are their sessions:

ACA Compliance (2:00pm): From Medicaid expansion to coverage of the dual eligibles to participating in the exchange, health plans will be facing unprecedented expansion opportunities. Each of these opportunities brings new requirements and compliance-related activities. This session will focus on the compliance perspective of the Affordable Care Act expansion opportunities and will set the stage for the remainder of the meeting.

The Role of the Compliance Plan (4:00pm): The compliance plan is the operational bible for compliance officers. This session will focus on the Federal requirements associated with compliance plans. It will also focus on the components of a good compliance plan and ways to make your organization's compliance plan even better. The session will also explore changes that the Affordable Care Act may require of your plan, and draw comparisons between the compliance requirements in Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and the Exchanges.
