2016 Smithers Apex WEAR Conference: Privacy and Wearables
In 2014 the Federal Trade Commission hosted a seminar on consumer generated and controlled health data. That year alone, the FTC brought more than 40 general privacy lawsuits and over 130 spam and spyware cases, and its enforcement activities continue. This presentation will discuss highlights of some of those activities as they relate to wearables, and provide tips on how to lower the risk of privacy practice scrutiny from the FTC or other enforcer.
