The 2011 edition of the Legal 500 United States has named Epstein Becker Green as one of only three top-tier recommended law firms in the health care industry and also recommends the firm in the area of labor and employment litigation.

Doug Hastings, Chair of the Firm's Board of Directors and a Member in its Health Care and Life Sciences Practice, stated, "Our ranking as a top-tier firm in the health care industry demonstrates the Firm's dedication to taking the lead in understanding, interpreting and shaping the issues and regulations that affect health care and life sciences institutions. All of our Firm's practices work closely with clients in this industry. Indeed, on June 7, we are hosting a Health Employment and Labor Summit that will focus on employment and labor issues affecting health care companies and will feature several corporate general counsel from the industry. Our firm's mission is to continue to improve health care by providing legal services unparalleled in quality, value, and responsiveness to the entire range of organizations involved in making the health care system work."

The Legal 500, now in its 25th year, surveyed and interviewed more than 180,000 in-house counsel and lawyers globally to produce this year's guide and recommendations. The Legal 500 is an independent guide, and firms and individuals are recommended purely on merit.

On June 9, Epstein Becker Green's health care practice also is being honored by Chambers USA as one of the nation's top health care practices.
