Epstein Becker Green is saddened to report that our longtime colleague and friend Bob Reif passed away on June 24, 2012. Bob was a member of the firm's Board of Directors and served as General Counsel, Managing Shareholder of the Washington, D.C. office, and Corporate Services Practice Steering Committee Chair. He concentrated on all aspects of corporate and transactional law, primarily for the health care industry, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, corporate governance, and general corporate and business law, for both for-profit and nonprofit corporations.

He was a topnotch practitioner, had a deeply-held set of professional values, and possessed a tremendous skill to be extraordinarily and immediately helpful to both clients and his Epstein Becker Green colleagues. His contributions to the firm and the profession were deep and long lasting.

We were blessed to have had Bob as a friend, co-worker and leader for 35 years. He set an example of character, selflessness, and commitment to client service and professional values that we will work to emulate and perpetuate in the years ahead. We will miss him dearly, but his contributions and memory will live on in our actions and our hearts for many years to come.

Doug Hastings
Chair, Board of Directors
