Epstein Becker Green Leads Panel Discussion on Implementing the Affordable Care Act

On July 17, 2012, Epstein Becker Green participated in a Health Affairs conference on the implications of the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision for the health care industry and health care policy.

This bipartisan conference was co-chaired by Mark McClellan, Director, Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform, The Brookings Institution, and Former Administrator, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (Bush administration), and Donald Berwick, Founding CEO, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and Former Administrator, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (Obama administration).

Epstein Becker Green was a sponsor of the conference and Doug Hastings, Chair of the firm's Board, led and moderated the opening panel, which focused on the legal basis for the decision and its implications for future health care policy. The program—restricted by invitation—was attended by 500 people, with another 1,300 online through a webcast.

The agenda for the conference is online (PDF) and the webcast is posted on the Health Affairs website (for access, you'll be asked to enter an e-mail address).
