Epstein Becker Green Continues to Expand its Health Care and Life Sciences Practice in Washington, D.C., by Adding Linda Tiano

New York (Jan. 2, 2013) — The national law firm of Epstein Becker Green (EBG) continues to expand its presence in Washington, D.C., through the recent addition of Linda Tiano, who is rejoining the firm as a Member in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice following several decades of service as a general counsel and executive with leading managed care organizations.

Tiano will assist the firm's provider and payor clients to implement value based payment arrangements drawing on her experiences in some of the nation's most advanced managed care markets. She will also use her deep experience with leading insurers to support the firm's managed care clients participating as qualified health plans on insurance exchanges.

Tiano served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Health Net in Woodland Hills, Calif. She also was the General Counsel at WellChoice/Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and MVP Health Care. Tiano has also been a managed care business executive serving as President of Regional Health Plans for Health Net in Shelton, Conn.

Tiano has 30 years of experience in the field of health law and has worked with all types of heath care organizations, but especially in the managed care area. She advises and works with management teams and boards of directors on developing and implementing compliance plans, structuring business entities and relationships, negotiating major contractual arrangements, handling mergers and acquisitions, and public policy.

"We are always pleased to welcome back to the firm one of our talented alumni such as Linda. We have found that our culture, our client base, and our way of doing business attracts not only new employees, but former employees, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire EBG team. We look forward to having Linda as part of our growing national health care practice and look to utilize her skills as we work with a wide range of clients in the current health reform environment," said Wendy Goldstein, Chair of the Health Care and Life Sciences Practice Steering Committee.

Tiano said, "Returning to EBG was an easy decision for me. The firm provided me with the platform and opportunity I needed to be successful in my pursuits on the job, and the support system in place provided a solid foundation that enabled me to effectively service clients. I look forward to reconnecting with my former colleagues and contributing to the overall success of the heath care practice."
