AARON F. OLSEN is an Associate in the Labor and Employment practice, based in Los Angeles and San Diego. Selected for inclusion in Southern California Super Lawyers and cited as a "Rising Star" in 2012 and 2013, Mr. Olsen counsels and defends employers in such diverse industries as hospitality, health care, and financial services on the full spectrum of employment issues.
Mr. Olsen's experience includes:
- Representing employers in state and federal courts in wage and hour class actions
- Defending employers in actions alleging discrimination and wrongful termination
- Representing companies in actions alleging theft of trade secrets
Mr. Olsen has successfully represented employers in more than two dozen class actions.
Prior to joining Epstein Becker Green, Mr. Olsen worked at a national full-service law firm, where he represented clients in numerous complex cases, including employment matters; intellectual property cases involving the protection and enforcement of trade secrets; and contract disputes. Mr. Olsen also represented officers, directors, and public companies in various shareholder class actions and shareholder derivative actions arising from alleged stock option backdating, alleged misrepresentations and omissions in public statements concerning clinical trial results, alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and restated financial statements.
While at Harvard Law School, Mr. Olsen served on the Environmental Law Review and participated in the Latin American Law Society.
Mr. Olsen earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science, with a minor in Conservation Biology, from Brigham Young University, where he was elected valedictorian and graduated magna cum laude.
